Introduction to Astrophotography

Service Description

Join us for a beginner-friendly astrophotography workshop, where we provide everything you need to capture stunning night sky photos in a dark sky preserve located just north of Flagstaff. Our tour includes everything that you need to get you taking pictures of the stars, Milky Way, and large nebulae, including: -DSLR/MSLR -Wide-angle lens (24mm or wider) -Sturdy tripod We will be with you from start to finish to provide easy-to-follow instructions and hands-on guidance to ensure you capture amazing photos of the stars and the Milky Way, even if you have never even touched a camera before. We will visit 2-3 locations just outside of Flagstaff to capture iconic photos of northern Arizona under the stars. This tour is perfect for beginners who want to learn astrophotography and take stunning night sky photos. We will provide tips and techniques on low-light nightscape photography to ensure you leave with fantastic images to show off and reflect on your experience. All you do after booking is show up to our location where you will be directed to your assigned camera, and follow the instructions of your guide from there! After we part ways, we will digitally transfer your unedited photos via email with a written guide on how to process your images using free editing software you can download to your computer, tablet, or laptop. Please let us know if you plan to bring your own equipment, and we can help with recommended camera settings and equipment before we meet to ensure that you have a seamless experience. *Please note that price is per camera and we do not suggest more than 2 people per camera

Cancellation Policy

​Cancellation and Refund Policy ​ At Flagstaff Stargazing Adventures, we understand that weather conditions can be unpredictable and may result in tour cancellations, which are disappointing and inconvenient for everyone involved. In the event that we need to cancel a tour due to unfavorable, unsafe, or uncomfortable weather conditions, we will make every effort to reschedule the tour for a mutually convenient time. If rescheduling is not possible, we will provide a full refund minus any non-refundable deposits-including booking, and credit card processing fee. ​ Group Tours If you need to cancel a tour for any reason, please notify us as soon as possible. Cancellations made at least 24 HOURS prior to the scheduled tour will be refunded in full, minus a 3% booking and credit card processing fee. Cancellations made less than 24 HOURS prior to the scheduled tour will not be refunded. ​ Private Tours If you need to cancel a tour for any reason, please notify us as soon as possible. Cancellations made at least 7 DAYS prior to your scheduled tour will be refunded in full, minus a 5% booking and credit card processing fee. Cancellations made less than 7 DAYS prior to the scheduled tour will not be refunded. Due to the time taken for planning personalized programs, 50% of the total private tours deposit is non-refundable for any reason, including weather cancellations. In the event of a weather cancellation, 100% of your deposit will be applied to a future experience with us.  ​ To request a cancellation or a refund, please contact our customer service team at info@flagstaffstargazing.com.
