Service Description
PRIVATE EVENTS & STAR PARTIES — BY INQUIRY Bring a private observatory experience to your wedding, celebration, corporate retreat, resort, or special gathering. We tailor the evening to your location, group size, and vision, with an astronomy educator hosting your guests throughout. Explore the night sky through large-aperture computerized telescopes, guided constellation viewing, and live digital imaging when conditions allow. Equipment and staffing are planned around your event, with room for questions and discoveries at your guests’ pace. Celestial targets vary with the season, Moon, and weather. HOW TO REQUEST YOUR EVENT Use Contact in the website menu to send your preferred date or date range, event location, approximate guest count, and a few details about the occasion. You can also email info@flagstaffstargazing.com or call/text (928) 683-7805. Custom events are arranged directly rather than selected from an online booking calendar. We will review your request, discuss logistics and guide availability, and provide a tailored quote. Sending an inquiry does not reserve or confirm a date, and no payment is required to inquire. The final scope, timing, price, payment schedule, and cancellation/weather terms will be provided in your event proposal or agreement before you commit.
Cancellation Policy
CUSTOM EVENTS & STAR PARTIES — BOOKING, CANCELLATION & REFUND POLICY DEPOSIT & PAYMENT A 20% non-refundable deposit is required at booking to reserve your event date. The remaining 80% is due 30 days before the scheduled start. Events booked within 30 days of the scheduled start require full payment at booking. CLIENT CANCELLATIONS For cancellations received at least 30 days before the scheduled start, the 20% deposit remains non-refundable; payments above the deposit will be refunded minus any other non-refundable fees or add-ons. Cancellations received less than 30 days before the scheduled start, including no-shows, are non-refundable and the full contracted amount remains due. WEATHER CANCELLATIONS FSA determines whether conditions allow a safe and meaningful experience. If FSA cancels due to weather, payments above the deposit (partial or full) are refunded less the 2.9% card fee and separately disclosed non-refundable add-ons, deducted only once. The deposit becomes transferable credit for a future experience, with no expiry. OTHER CANCELLATIONS BY FSA If FSA cancels for non-weather reasons and cannot reasonably provide or reschedule the contracted service, all payments, including the 2.9% card fee, are refunded. PROCESSING FEES Card payments incur a 2.9% fee, non-refundable once processed, except as required by law or for FSA non-weather cancellations above. RESORTS AND PARTNER ORGANIZATIONS Separately agreed written payment, cancellation, and refund terms for resorts and partner organizations take precedence.
